Long-standing deadlock in Madrasa teacher recruitment — demand for a solution by January, otherwise a warning of statewide agitation

Eligible and qualified Madrasa candidates are seething with anger as the recruitment process of the West Bengal Madrasa Service Commission faces uncertainty.  They allege that despite the announcement of recruitment for approximately 5,500 vacancies after 13 years, examinations were ultimately held for only 1,729 seats. Three years have passed since the completion of the TET and main examinations, yet the results have not been published, nor have interviews or panels been conducted. The candidates claim that the commission and the government are evading responsibility by using "court cases" as an excuse, leaving thousands of families burdened with anxiety and unemployment.
The speakers clearly stated that minority and Madrasa education falls under the Chief Minister's purview—therefore, the responsibility for completing the recruitment also rests with her. They allege that the lack of political will is preventing the process from moving forward. They announced a peaceful but simultaneous agitation at the doorsteps of MLAs and MPs if the results, interviews, and panels for primary and upper primary levels are not completed by January.
The organization claims that at least 15,000 deprived candidates will participate in the demonstration at Bikash Bhavan on the 8th of this month. The speakers warned that due to continuous neglect, the teacher shortage is becoming acute in many Madrasas across the state, directly harming underprivileged children. They also warned of expanding the movement further if swift action is not taken.
